Addiction Therapy

What is addiction therapy?

Addiction is a more common illness than would think. It is estimated that 2 million people in the UK suffer from an addiction of sort: be it to a substance such as alcohol or drugs, or behaviour such as eating or gambling.

Addictions can allow temporary escape from the realities and pressures of life or as a means to deal with depression or anxiety. However, the long term consequences of addiction can be extremely destructive, with increasingly severe effects on relationships, health and wellbeing.

Addiction therapy offers sufferers a way out this cycle. By addressing the underlying problems attached to their addictions, addicts can recover from their illness and rebuild their lives.
